Les Paul Traditional is a model with which Gibson USA pays an homage to the Les Paul Standard models of the 1950s. Everything on this model is dedicated to the creation of that vintage vibe PAF pickups and full mahogany body had. In order to make it as faithful as possible, Gibson chose to make the body of this model in a traditional way. Mahogany back features no weight relief chambers, which results in huge tone and unprecedented sustain. Top section is made of carved flamed maple. This combination is one of the most popular and renowned throughout the history of Les Paul. Body also features creme binding around the top and nitrocellulose gloss finish. Bridge section is a two-piece, it features tune-o-matic bridge in the front with stoptail bar in the back. Tonepros made this chrome-plated pair. Things in the pickups and electronics department are dedicated to the achievement of the faithful vintage tone and thus Gibson installs a pair of Classic '57 humbuckers. They are controlled through independent volume and tone knobs. Three-way toggle pickup switch completes the electronics. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it sports a vintage-styled '50s rounded contour which was featured on early incarnations of Les Paul Standard model. It`s finished in nitrocellulose. On top of this neck Gibson installs a rosewood fingerboard with a standard set of 22 frets. Figured acrylic trapezoid inlays, 1.695" wide corian nut and 12" radius complete the fingerboard specs. This variant is made for the left handed players and color palette is narrowed down to the heritage cherry sunburst with nitrocellulose gloss finish. Vintage vibe of the completely solid body, vintage-styled Kluson tuning machines on the headstock and '57 Classic 'buckers is countered with modern rosewood fingerboard to create a unique mix.
