Les Paul Standard 2013 Left Handed by Gibson
Desert Burst

Les Paul Standard got completely overhauled and redefined for 2013, with sights set on future and needs of a modern guitar player. However, this new Standard remains the corner stone of the LP lines for the years to come. Body of this model is made of weight-relieved mahogany back and carved flamed maple cap installed on the top. Weight relief chambers feature modern pattern and are strategically distributed. Top cap options also include several options of figured maple, quilted maple and even figured koa. All options are bound in creme binding and finished in nitrocellulose gloss. Desert Burst, Honey Sunburst, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Tea Burst and Translucent amber are available color options for this model. Perennial fixture in LP catalog, the tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar is present on this model, as well. These two are made by Tonepros and plated in chrome. Electronics improvements are one of the major features of the new Standard. Burstbucker Pro Lead with Alnico V magnets in bridge position is reverse wound and reverse polarized this time. Neck position sports a regular Burstbucker Pro Rhythm with Alnico V magnets. Volume knobs contain push-pull switches for coil splitting and tone knobs have push-pull switches which activate the Pure Bypass system, which connects pickups directly to the output jack. Three-way toggle switch completes the electronics. Mahogany neck is equipped with a modern contour and mortise & tenon joint. Asymmetrical '60s slim taper is made to better suit the 21st century players. Also a novelty, rosewood-made fingerboard features 22 frets, figured acrylic trapezoid inlays, 1.69" corian nut and 10"-16" compound radius. This gorgeous lefty is bound to redefine the high class section of guitar market.
