Les Paul Standard was and is the corner stone of the Les Paul catalog. It is a standard by which all other LPs are measured and weighed. Thus, Gibson USA gave it a lot of time, thought and effort to further perfect it for the new 2013 season. Exciting new color options, top wood options and materials are available. Also, electronics department is now more versatile than ever. Body of this model is made of mahogany back with modern weight relief treatment, which includes strategically placed chambers. On top, Gibson installs a carved flame maple cap. Additional options include quilt maple and figured koa for that majestic look of a high-end Gibson. Five gorgeous finishes are available: Desert Burst, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Honey Burst, Tea Burst and Translucent Amber. All are finished in Nitrocellulose gloss. To top it all off, Les Paul Standard is equipped with classy creme binding around the top. Bridge section is a traditional one, it includes trusty old tune-o-matic bridge with six saddles in the front with stoptail bar in the back. These two are plated in chrome. Pickups on new Standard get a whole new dimension with coil splitting, reverse phasing and Pure Bypass system, which routs pickups directly to the output jack. Burstbucker Lead Pro with Alnico V magnets is placed in the bridge position and it features reversed polarity along with reverse winding. Neck pickup is Burstbucker Rhythm Pro with Alnico V magnets. Independent volume knobs feature push/pull switches for the coil splitting, while the tone knob`s push/pull switches activate the Pure Bypass system and link pickups directly to the output jack. Mahogany neck on this new Standard is an asymmetrical rendition of the marvelous '60s slim taper contour. A modern approach for modern times. It is attached to the body with a mortise & tenon joint and it`s topped with a rosewood, instead of baked maple fingerboard. Standard set of 22 frets is marked with beautiful figured acrylic trapezoid inlays. String nut is made of corian and it`s 1-11/16" wide. Compound 10"-16" radius completes the fingerboard. Superbly fast and comfortable, this fingerboard is bound in creme binding to match the body. Standard 24-3/4" scale and chrome plated Grover Kidney tuners wrap the specs list up. Uniform price tag has been formed for all color options with standard tops, it is set at $3,899.

PEICE OF JUNK HAD TONS OF PROBLEMS! THE FINISH WAS TOTAL TRAINWRECK, THE FRET JOB SUCKS, THE ELECTRONICS WERE JUNK AND THE STUPID THING HAD ORANGE PEEL ON THE FINISH!
