Schecter unveils seven novelties in the Signature Artist segment.

NAMM 2015: Schecter Electric Signatures

For 2015, Schecter introduces several new signature series and artists, and updates some of the most popular existing ones, retaining one of the strongest metal-oriented signature lines.

2015 edition of the NAMM show brings us a refreshed and rejuvenated Schecter signature artist line. Including the three veterans of the underground scene who receive their first signature Schecters, current lineup is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the heaviest ever created. First we have Chris Poland, the man behind some of the wickedest and most essential thrash metal solos ever created with his signature Chris Poland Poltergeist. Ministry`s Sin Quirin debuts with his sinister V-1 is and Prong`s Tommy Victor with an infernal Devil-FR completes the triumvirate of legends. Chris Garza`s line is being expanded with a beefed up PT-7, while Jerry Horton receives the new Tempest Signature. Jake Pitts C-1 FR is being updated with a new set of hardware and pickups. Also updated is Chris Howorth`s V-7. Last, but not the least, Keith Merrow`s KM-7 is is now available in the gorgeous Lambo Orange.

We`ll start with a long-time member of Schecter`s Signature line, Chris Garza of Suicide Silence. His new Schecter Chris Garza PT-7 is, by far, the most extreme Telecaster-shaped guitar ever made. Flat mahogany body, set mahogany neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard, Hipshot bridge and wild EMG 81/60 pickups combo are some of the main features of this long-scale seven-string. Though bearing a strong resemblance to it`s predecessor, Schecter Chris Howorth V-7 is a brand new axe made for Chris Howorth of In This Moment. All-mahogany construction, black/gold styling and simple hardware and electronics layout (tune-o-matic bridge w/string-through construction, 24-fret ebony fingerboard and lone EMG707 in the bridge position) are the main features of this killer axe. Place number three goes to the first of three debutants - Chris Poland. Schecter Chris Poland Solo-6 Poltergeist rocks the classic mahogany/flamed maple body, Schecter USA Pasadena pickups, along with Floyd Rose 1500 bridge, 24-fret ebony fingerboard and locking Grover tuners are some of the most important features of this magnificent Solo. Next in line, we have the updated Schecter Jake Pitts C-1 FR. Under the same Metallic Black Burst cloak, a different heart beats (Floyd Rose 1500 bridge, double EMG 81 pickups combo and an ebony fingerboard can be seen on this year`s incarnation of this mighty six-string). Schecter Jerry Horton Tempest is one of four updates of the already existing series. It comes with a solid and flat Tempest body clad in white, black hardware, set in mahogany neck with a 24-fret fingerboard on its top, Schecter`s Pasadena humbuckers and Schecter tuners.  Skip over to the Jerry Horton Tempest detail page on our site for a closer look and more detailed review, or check the official Schecter Guitar Research web page.

Here comes the only model which is not actually new, only has a new coat. It is the extended-range Schecter Keith Merrow KM-7. Instead of the old Trans White Satin, there`s super-fast Lambo Orange. Under the paint, this speed demon remains intact. Sin Quirin of industrial metal legends Ministry is also joining the Schecter fleet. His Schecter Sin Quirin V-1 is a completely fresh take on the classic V-1 concept. Solid, black-clad mahogany body with a custom “Skulls and Pentagram” graphic, set in maple neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard and Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups form the core of this hellish V. The first Schecter signature made for the man who`s been the driving force behind one of the best and heaviest metal bands of all time – Prong - for almost thirty years deserves to wrap up the review section. Schecter Tommy Victor Devil FR comes with a mahogany body, set mahogany neck with 24 extra jumbo frets and the classic EMG 81/85 pickups combo.
