The New Fender California Series

Redondo, Malibu, and Newporter are back with the new California lineup. They`re available in three price levels and with a ton of cool color options.

Fender’s California acoustics are back with a vengeance, coming in with modern construction, youthful styling, and great prices. The new lineup is divided into three tiers – Player, Special, and Classic. Player models cost $399, Specials will set you back $699, while the Classics hold the flagship position with price tags set at $799. Each tier is made up of three models, one Newporter, one Redondo, and one Malibu. Main features of the player line include solid spruce tops, Fishman electronics, and slim taper necks with walnut fingerboards. The models are Newporter PlayerRedondo Player, and Malibu Player. The $699 Specials offer all-solid construction and pai ferro fingerboards & bridges. The three specials are named Newporter Special, Malibu Special, and Redondo Special. All Specials come only in black. Classic models have koa binding & rosettes, as well as two-tone paint jobs. The models of the Classic line are: Newporter Classic, Malibu Classic, and Redondo Classic. Cosmic Turquoise and Hot Rod Red Metallic are available color options.

Fender Malibu Player comes in four exciting and fresh color options, and offers fantastic playability, as well as a big attitude. Fender Redondo Special is the first of three Special models.
