S Prestige is the top level of the world-wide famous S series. It features top level guitars with six, seven and even eight strings (seven and eight-stringers were added in recent years). Ibanez has a tradition of refreshing important series and lines annually and S Prestige, as the top level of the S range, is included into the 2014 lineup overhaul. At 2014 NAMM Show, Ibanez has introduced several S Prestige models and S5527QFX among them. It is a solid and double-cut guitar with a body made of mahogany and quilted maple. This combination is among the most popular ones, right next to the alder/maple combo. On the top, Ibanez installs the standard seven-saddled Gibraltar bridge with gold plating and string-through-body construction. Passive humbuckers from the V series are installed in the front. V87 is in the bridge and V77 in the neck position. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Maple/walnut neck is a standard five-piece with Wizard contour in the back. On it`s top, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
