Warwick`s factories in China and Korea produce affordable Rockbass instruments which come with quality Warwick is known for. Korean made models also rank below the German made ones. Warwick`s custom shop is also situated in Germany. For 2012 Warwick extends Corvette basic line of models made in China with short and medium scale basses. This one is a short-scale fretless Corvette basic with four strings. The body of this instrument is made of alder and equipped with double cutaway. Being a basic model, there are no pickgards, bindings or top wood veneers. Black gloss and natural satin are color options available for this model. Neck on this Corvette is made of maple with ekanga veneers and bolt-on joint. Upon this neck a tigerstripe ebony fingerboard is placed. It contains 24 frets, no position inlays and Just A Nut III brass nut. The pickup configuration for this fretless model can be either passive MEC J/J setup, or active MEC J/J setup, it depends on the player. Master volume and balance are common controls. Passive combo has two tone controls, while the active pickups have master bass and treble knobs. 30-3/4" scale and Warwick-made chrome plated hardware complete the specs.
