Corvette series produced in China is being updated for 2012 with short and medium scale instruments. These novelties expand the Corvette to previously unknown territories, offering this rare feature in the budget-friendly portions of the market. The medium scale of this model measures 32" in length, which is two inches shorter than the standard. Corvette Basic 4 Medium Scale Fretless is equipped with tigerstripe ebony fingerboard, as opposed to standard fretted models which have rosewood fingerboards. Brass nut completes the fingerboard specs for this Corvette. The neck is made of maple with ekanga veneers. It features a slim contour and a four bolt joint. As all short and medium scaled basic Corvettes this one also offers two options in the pickup department. The choice is between passive and active MEC J/J combos. Controls are slightly different, for active option features master volume, balance, treble and bass knobs. On the other side, passive pickups have master volume, balance and two tone controls. Body comes in a standard Corvette shape and it`s made of alder. It features no top wood covers, pickguards or bindings. This flat top bass features only essentials, bare necessities of rock `n` roll.
