This line of Corvette Basic basses is made in China and, as of 2012, contains short and medium scaled Corvettes. Corvette Basic 4 Short Scale is a solid bodied, double cutaway bass with 30-3/4" scale, which is in bass world considered a short one. IT`s body is made of alder and paired with maple neck. Body features a flat top and has no bindings or pickguards. This model comes in natural satin and black gloss. The bridge on this Corvette is a standard Warwick two-piece with chrome plating. Pickup department offers a choice between passive and active MEC pickups in J/J configuration. Controls for active combo are made up of master volume, master tone, bass and treble knobs. Passive pickups have: Master volume, balance and split tone controls. The neck is made of maple with ekanga veneer and bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood with a traditional Warwick setup: 24 frets with no position inlays and Just A Nut III brass string nut.
