As the summer slowly wraps up and September comes, Fender introduces the awesome American Deluxe Mahogany Stratocaster HSS all clad in autumn colors.
With busy autumn lurking around the corner and lazy summer packing up and leaving town, Fender begins preparations for the new guitar season. And what a better way to upstage the competition than by starting big, loud and proud. That`s right, Fender kicks September off in style. New Limited Edition American Deluxe Mahogany Stratoacaster HSS is taken from one of the finest and most luxurious series in the entire catalog – the ubiquitous American Deluxe – and given Custom Shop treatment. With a mahogany body, special set of pickups and S-1 switch added to the standard controls unit, this Limited Edition Stratocaster is bound for glory. It is the seventh of a ten-model series named 10 for `15 and is the fourth Strat thus far, other three being Telecasters. Price tag of $1,799 puts Mahogany Strat in the same price class as the regular American Deluxe series models. A smooth and clever move by Fender. Fender Limited Edition American Deluxe Mahogany Stratocaster HSS comes with a slightly modified mahogany body, thinned and trimmed to ease the burden on player`s shoulders. It comes clad in gorgeous Mahogany Stain with polyester finish, chrome hardware and aged white plastics. C-shaped maple neck with a standard 22-fret fingerboard on top taken from the American Deluxe Stratocaster models completes the chassis. Zebra-coiled Shawbucker and two noiseless N-3 singles are backed up by the standard Stratocaster controls unit and the famous S-1 switch make up the electronics. The end result is a beefed up Strat tone dialed just between a classic HSS Strat and hefty LP tone. For the record, with some basic knowledge of the controls unit manipulation, all the classic Strat tones are also available. 2-point synchronized trem bridge and locking tuners can keep this six-string belle in perfect tune even through all-night gigs and graveyard shifts in studio.
