Jaguar was, along with the Mustang, introduced in the 60`s and has always been considered a rebel and outcast guitar. The reputation was earned mostly due to its offset shape, short scale and slightly different. Additionally, many of the alternative and garage rock scene heroes of the 60`s and 70`s played Jags. In recent times, Jag has achieved the status of Fender legend, though it still trails significantly behind the Stratocaster and Telecaster. The new American Professional Jaguar is among the finest and most expensive Jags ever created. It is outfitted with all of the common Professional range features, as well as some unique to Jazzmaster/Jaguar duo. American Professional Jaguar comes in with an offset Jazzmaster/Jag body, made exclusively of alder (ash bodies are available only on Strat and Tele models). Four color schemes make up the palette - two vintage ones (maple fingerboards) and two modern ones (rosewood fingerboards). Jaguar`s neck is made of maple; it sports Deep C profile and posiflex reinforcement rods. Fingerboard on its top has narrow & tall frets and bone nut. The bridge (floating trem with screw-in tremolo arm, lock-in button and 9.5" saddle radius) is the same as the one found on the Jazzmaster. Two V-Mod single coils (designed by Michael Frank) with simplified controls bring all the jingle and jangle Jags are known for. Sealed Fender tuners complete the specs list.
