American Professional series is here for 2017 with brand new and vintage/modern guitars and basses. The entire roster has sixteen models, nine guitars and seven basses. The greats like Telecaster and Strat on the guitar side and Jazz and Precision on the bass side account for fourteen entries, leaving only two spots for other models. These two spots are filled by one Jazzmaster and one Jaguar. American Professional Jazzmaster is, actually, the first American Jazzmaster in years and it was well worth the wait. General Professional series modifications (V-Mod pickups, narrow & tall frets, bone string nut, posiflex reinforcement rods), as well as some Jazzmaster/Jag particular features make for a unique Jazzmaster. American Professional Jazzmaster is available in four color options, two with maple and two with rosewood fingerboards. All four, however, come in with offset Jazzmaster bodies made of alder. 3-ply pickguard and the familiar hardware/plastics/electronics layout are featured on the body. The neck is, with its Deep C profile and modern reinforcement rods, both fast and supremely stable. The well-known Jazzmaster Floating trem bridge has been thoroughly reworked during the process of Professional series creation. It now rocks 9.5" radius saddles (matches the fingerboard radius), locking button and a screw-in tremolo arm. V-Mod P-90 pickups have a super simple and straightforward controls set and the classic Jazzmaster tone. Fluted (Fender) tuners wrap up the specs list.
