Ibanez is one of the strongest high-profile promoters of this innovative concept. AEW40FFCD is the latest development in the fanned-fret field, bringing the concept to Ibanez`s acoustic range.
AEW40FFCD starts off with a single-cut AEW body, a glued-in neck (with compound 25-1/2"-26-3/4" scale) and combined FIshman/Ibanez electronics. The body is made of walnut in its entirety and it`s coupled with a mahogany neck with AEW profile (in the back) and 21-fret rosewood fingerboard (on top).
Major electronics and hardware features include 21 fanned frets, Fishman Sonicore pickup, Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp, 9V battery unit and Grover`s die-cast tuners.
