Ibanez AEW series offers modern acoustic-electric guitars at moderate prices. These guitars rock the famous AEW bodies (Florentine cutaway, flat-top, compact), 25-1/2" scales and combined Fishman/Ibanez electronics.
AEW40CD is one of the intermediate AEW series models. It comes with a series standard body made of walnut (back, sides, top) and a mahogany neck. Satin finished neck is attached to body at the 14th fret and has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (1.65" nut, 9.84" radius, dot inlays) on top. Fishman`s Sonicore pickup and Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp form the electronics unit. They`re accompanied by both XLR and regular 1/4" output jacks. Modern rosewood bridge and die-cast tuners complete this great steel-stringer. The average retail price is around $400.
