NAMM 2018: Ibanez Electrics

Among around 50 models, Ibanez`s new electric guitar catalog still has its spotlights firmly set on the RG range. Brand new AZ series also made its debut at NAMM.

The new 2018 catalog of Ibanez`s electric guitar segment brings around 50 new models, spread out across the entire range. Of course, the accent is on RG models, a total of eighteen of them were introduced. Regular new RGs are: RG652BG, RG652AHMS, RGRT621DPB, RGRT421, RGEW521ZC, RGMS7, RGMS8, RGEW521FM, RG421AHM, RGR652AHBF, RG652AHM, RG6PFGMLTD, RG970QMZ, RG950FMZ. Members of the new Genesis Collection are: RG570, RG550, and RG521. J. Custom series received only one model – RG8570Z. The brand new AZ series comes in with six models in the initial lineup – three in the Prestige class and three in Premium. Prestige models are: AZ2204, AZ2204F, and AZ2402. The Premiums are: AZ224F, AZ242F, and AZ242BC. The mighty Iron Label`s updates include RGIX6FDLB, RGIX7FDLB, RGIX6DLB, RGAIX6MQM, RGDIM6FM, RGDIR6M, RGDIR7M, and RGDIX6MPB. RGA series` only new model  is RGAT62. RGD series also received only one model, the Prestige-class RGD3127. New S series models include S1070PBZ and S520. SA`s new models include SA460QM, SA260FM, and SA560MB. The new AX series is two models stronger. The new models are AX230T and AX120. Talman has also received two models – TM303M and TM302PM. AR series` only new model is AR720. GIO range will offer six new models in 2018. Their names are: GAX30, GRG120ZW, GRG131DX, GRG7221M, GRG170DX, and GRX70QA.

Ibanez RG652BG is a Prestige class instrument. It offers a solid, double-cut mahogany/sapele burl body, mighty DiMarzio pickups (Tone Zone/Air Norton combo), 5-piece Super Wizard neck, and a regular 24-fret fingerboard.
