A contest is being held by Ibanez and the band Asking Alexandria.

Ibanez and Asking Alexandria Guitar Giveaway

In support of the band`s tour Ibanez and Asking Alexandria are teaming up to give away two guitars from the same lines band`s guitarists use.

British metalcore act Asking Alexandria is on tour now in the US. In support of their ongoing tour they joined forces with Ibanez to reward their loyal fans by giving two great Ibanez guitars away. The guitars in this contest are from the same line Ben Bruce and Cameron Liddell use, namely DN500KWH and FR1620BK. The propositions of the contest are as follows: the contestant must go to the Ibanez site and fill out all the fields of the quiery and pick the guitar for which he or she is entering the contest.

The Ibanez DN500K has a double cutaway shape with a tail spike reminiscent to the one Iceman shape is known for. It`s body is made of sapele and has a bound flat top. The bridge option on this model is Ibanez` own take on tune-o-matic plus stoptail bar and is called Tight Tune bridge. The pickups on this model are CAP PP1-B in the bridge and CAP PP1-N in the neck position. They are controlled through master volume, master tone, push-pull control and a three-way toggle switch. The neck is also made of sapele and has a DN profile and set-in joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 22 medium frets, DN block inlays, 1.69" wide nut and 12" radius. It`s binding matches the one on the body top. Other features include: chrome hardware, 24-3/4" scale, black pickguard and Ibanez tuners. This model is available in black and white. Check DN500K at our detail page or at Ibanez Guitars official web page.

The Ibanez FR1620 has a single cutaway body similar to the one of a Telecaster. It kicks off with a flat top ash body with white binding and black pickguard. Tight end bridge commands the tone and tuning stability with ease. CCR2 humbucker is placed in the bridge position and the CCR1 in the neck position. Th controls department consists of a master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch. The neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut, has wizard prestige contour and a bolt-on joint. Rosewood fingerboard features 24 jumbo frets, pearl dot inlays, 1.69" wide nut and 17" radius. FR1620 is available in black and red optimus color options.
