For years, Hellraiser range was synonymous with active electronics (EMG predominantly) and stood opposed to the Blackjack line which featured mostly passive Seymour Duncans. But, for 2015, Schecter has prepared a surprise for some and a dream come true for others - the great Hellraiser Passive series. Competing in the higher intermediate class, Hellraiser Passive offers a fresh and interesting alternative to both the active Hellraisers and upper intermediate guitars of other brands. The basic Floyd Rose-equipped model is Hellraiser C-1 FR Passive. It comes with a solid, double-cut body with a carved top and ultra access cutaway. Depending on the color scheme, it`s all-mahogany body (Satin Black) or mahogany/quilt maple top combo (Black Cherry). Satin Black has pearloid gray and black/white binding, while the alternative comes with abalone and black/white binding. Floyd Rose bridge is one of the best Schaller can offer - 1500 series model. For the electronics of the entire series, Schecter relies upon the Custom Shop`s Brimstone humbuckers (Brimstone-Six in this case). Vol/vol/tone w/push-pull (coil-splitting) and 3-position blade switch comprise the controls. Three-piece mahogany neck has the standard thin C profile in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. (Pearloid Gothic Cross inlays on the black variant and Abalone Gothic Crosses on the Black Cherry). Grover tuners wrap the specs list.
