Powerslide series is Peavey`s attempt to bring the slide guitar back under the spotlights. A tough goal, which required some radical measures and out-of-the-box approach. Randy Randolph is the first signature artist of the Powerslide line.
Robert Randolph Signature Powerslide comes in with a completely weird body, made for both horizontal and vertical playing styles (thus the rounded "belly rest" contour). Basswood body wings are glued onto the mahogany neck, which features a 27-fret fingerboard on top. Back of the neck is also contoured, to aid the players who like to play standing up. There are two pickups, a humbucker in the bridge and single-coil in the neck position. A special mode knob can gradually turn the humbucker into a single-coil pickup, instead of being just a push/pull switch.
