USA Select series is one of the best series in Jackson catalog. It deals only with the upscale guitars made for serious musicians, who want serious instruments to play on. For years, this series has been at the fore front of the Jackson catalog. For 2013, Jackson has introduced a total of eight new USA Select guitars. Four of them were unveiled at the NAMM show and four at Frankfurt Musikmesse. Those which made their debut at NAMM show were equipped with EMG humbuckers, while the Musikmesse models had DiMarzio D-Activators. USA Select B* Deluxe is the current flagship, king of the hill model in the baritone segment. It comes with a 27" scale and eight strings. Solid, double-cut body is made of alder and flame maple on selected finishes. Top is carved and features no fancy decorations. Hardtail bridge has eight saddles and string-through construction. DiMarzio D-Activator humbuckers come with a standard controls unit. Master volume, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch complete the controls unit. One-piece maple neck runs through the body and it is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. 12"-16" compound radius, 2.16" string nut and side dot inlays complete the fingerboard. Jackson die-cast tuners are featured on the headstock.
