USA Select series is one of the upscale lines in the Jackson Guitars catalog and it features only the high quality guitars. For 2013, Jackson has expanded this series into the baritone territory with eight new models. Four of them were introduced back in January at 2013 NAMM show, while the other four made their debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Musikmesse couple of days ago. Models which were introduced in January had active EMG 707 and 808 pickups. On the other hand, four models introduced at Musikmesse feature passive DiMarzio humbuckers. B8 is a 27"-scaled juggernaut with solid, double-cut body made of alder. On some finishes, Jackson throws in the flame maple top. There are no excessive decorations on the top of this model. Bridge section features the standard eight-saddled hardtail bridge with black plating. In it`s front, there are to DiMarzio D-Activator humbuckers with the standard controls unit. One-piece maple neck is equipped with a bolt-on joint and standard contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. It has jumbo-sized frets, compound 12"-16" radius and 2.16" string nut. Jackson die-cast tuners are featured on the headstock.
