RGA is RG`s sub-series which incorporates carved tops into the mix, but retains RG`s traditional minimalist styling to separate itself from the fairly similar S series models. RGA models are made for players who want a proper all-round metal guitar, without having to compromise either rhythm or lead duties. Recently, RGA series models have been incorporated into the mighty Iron Label tribe. Two RGAIX models have been introduced at this year`s NAMM - RGAIX6FM and RGAIX7FM. They both feature standard 25-1/2" scales, passive electronics and simple, yet elegant Transparent Gray Flat color schemes. RGAIX7FM is a solid-bodied guitar with a double-cut mahogany body with flamed maple cap on top. It is paired with a three-piece maple/bubinga neck. The neck is attached via the classic bolt-on joint and rocks the Nitro Wizard back contour. 24-fret ebony fingerboard tops the neck (1.89" nut, 15.75" radius and jumbo-sized frets). Just like its six-stringed brother, RGAIX7FM comes with a pair of versatile DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers (passive/ceramic). Volume, coil-splitting switch and a three-position selector make up the controls. Gibraltar string-through bridge and Gotoh tuners complete the specs list.
