2017 variant of the popular RG42FM was introduced at the annual NAMM show, along with the rest of acoustic and electric updates. It is an affordable guitar, made for players who like the idea of classic RG playability and versatility in combination with contoured tops.
RGA42FM comes in two colors, both with flat (satin) finish, white binding around the body and matching headstocks. In both cases the body is made of mahogany base and two-piece flamed maple top (thus the FM badge in the model name). The neck is made of maple. It sports Wizard III profile in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (offset dots, jumbo frets, 1.69" nut).
Major hardware and electronics appointments include a fixed bridge (string-through), Quantum pickups and die-cast tuners.
