RG5SP1 is a sibling model to the RG5SP2 and it brings a very similar concept to the table. This SP is a solid-bodied and double-cut guitar made of basswood. Body is flat-topped and contoured in the back. Also, there is no binding, nor Ibanez installs a top wood cover on this one. White pickguard is the only decoration and the cover on the top panel. It doubles as the cover for the electronics of all three pickups and their controls unit. Pickups are Ibanez, they`re passive and installed in H/S/H pattern. Bridge section features a regular double locking Edge Tremolo system. Neck on this model is made of three pieces of maple and it features a Wizard II contour in the back. It`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Will not stay in tune. quality is great, but why won't it stay tuned.... If it stayed in tune would get a 10 rating. May send it back....
I saw this guitar in a pawn shop and purchased it for $154 ( $4 for a very nice peavey hard shell case) it looked new and sounded great but the only thing i do not like about it is it looks like a goth or emo guitar so i will paint but other than that it is great!
