RG Tremolo and RG Fixed are sub-series of the famous RG range (RG stands for Road Gear). These are "workhorse" lines, directed towards the players who want to hone their skills on quality instruments or beginners who want a glimpse of what a real guitar feels and sounds like. RG420 is a simple, straightforward six-string guitar, introduced into the RG Tremolo lineup at this year`s NAMM. It comes with all of the classic RG features such as bolt-on neck construction, passive electronics, flat-top and double-cut body, and many more. Weathered Black is the only available color scheme.
RG420 has a solid, multi-part mahogany body and a simple Wizard III maple neck. Third generation of Wizard profile, together with insanely deep cutaway and contoured heel, gives full access to the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard which covers the neck. Jumbo-sized frets, 1.69" locking nut and 15.75" radius complete the fingerboard.
In-house Quantum pickups come in classic H/H configuration. Five-position switch splits the pickups into single coils in position two and reverses the neck pickup in position four, to further add to the already huge range of tonal possibilities. Standard version of the Edge tremolo system and die-cast tuners can keep this workhorse in tune without breaking a sweat. The price tag`s set under $500.
