Robert Trujillo is already established as one of the most important Warwick signature artists, having his German and Korean made signature series. For 2012, Korean-made series is being refreshed and updated with four and five string variants. Rob and Warwick promoted these models at the NAMM Show this January. Robert Trujillo 5 2012 kicks off with a solid, double cutaway body made of maple back and quilted maple top. The body is constructed with neck-through-body design There are no pickguards featured on the top. Ocean blue is the only color available for these updated basses. In the bridge compartment, there is Warwick`s own two-piece bridge with top-load construction. This five-saddle bridge is plated in chrome. Pickups are supplied by EMG, and they come in S/S configuration. A pair of J-styled pickups occupies both the bridge and neck positions. Active Bartolini electronics features master volume wit push/pull, treble, bass and mid knobs. The neck is made of maple with neck-through-body construction. The fingerboard is made of tigerstripe ebony and features 24 jumbo sized frets. 12 fret is inlaid with a custom mother-of-pearl RT inlay. Other features include: 34" scale, Warwick tuners and chrome plated hardware.
