4004 Laredo is one of several variants of the modern 4004 bass made by Rickenbacker. This one shares a lot of common specs and features with other 4004 models, but it also has it`s own hallmark features. The most prominent feature which sets it apart from the rest of his kin is the hardwood/maple body. Wings are made of hardwood and are glued onto the maple neck (neck-through-body construction, common for a vast majority of Rickenbacker basses and guitars). Laredo is available in a wide variety of color schemes, including the vintage "Glo" colors. On the top of the body, Rickenbacker installs a four-saddled bridge and a pair of minibucker pickups. Maple neck is fast, smooth and has glossy finish in the back. On the top, there is a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
