Standard series is the backbone of the Fender catalog, and an example against which every other Fender (and Squier) is measured, valued and weighed. Standard series enters 2015 with a new set of five six-stringers and two four-stringers. The only Dimension bass introduced into the Standard series at the beginning of 2015 is the gorgeous Standard Dimension Bass IV. It is a working man`s dream come true - it`s a looker, it has a mighty tone, it`s reliable and very affordable. Like its six-string brethren, it`s offered in a selection of three color schemes - Olympic White, Black and Ghost Silver. Body of the new Standard Dimension is solid, double-cut and made of alder (also a feature shared with the electric guitar side of the family). Vintage-styled hardtail bridge with four adjustable saddles has been employed on this model. In its front, Fender installs a singular full-sized humbucker. It is a passive Dimension series humbucker with master tone and master volume control knobs featured by its side. Standard maple neck is fit with the modern C profile in the back and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (Fender has added the 21st fret to increase the appeal of this beautiful four-string rocker). Fender`s own open-geared tuning machines featured on the headstock wrap up the list of major specs and features.
