Just like its six-stringed brother, Jaguar Bass is somewhat of a renegade instrument. On the six-string side, we have the Strat and Tele which are the most popular and most celebrated, while the four and five-string fleet is fronted by the Precision/Jazz duo. But, these fact detract nothing from Jaguar. In fact, they add to its rebel, underdog reputation, making it even more desirable. For 2015, Jaguar Bass debuts in the Standard series ranks as a four-stringer with bolt-on construction, series standard styling and supremely versatile tone. Classic Jaguar body, now enlarged to fit the 34" scale and long bass neck, is made of alder (of course, it`s Fender`s Standard series we`re talking about) and paired with a maple neck through a classic bolt-on joint (again, of course). Body of this model is offered in three color options universally selected for 2015 Standard series updates - Olympic White, Black and Ghost Silver. On the top, a classic pickguard (black), vintage-styled hardtail bridge and J/P set of passive pickups (black covers and black control knobs) are featured. Standard series J and P pickups are manipulated through two volume knobs (these also double as pickups selectors) and a master tone knob. Maple neck is fit with a C profile in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Set of four open-geared Fender tuning machines is featured on the headstock.
