Dean`s Edge series of electric basses is one of the most populous series in the entire catalog. It is one of the corner stones of the catalog and over the years it has diversified into numerous sub-divisions. New division has been introduced at the NAMM 2013, it was named Edge EMG and it currently consists of three models. One has four strings, one is a five-stringer and one is a six-stringer. All three feature stripped down design and superior tone provided by the mighty EMG humbuckers. Edge 6 EMG comes with a solid, double-cut body made completely of alder. There are no top wood covers, nor there are pickguards and binding. Basic and flat, the body is equipped with a bolt-on neck joint. There`s only one color scheme available for this model. It is Classic Black with high gloss finish. Neck is made of maple and it features C contour in the back. On it`s top Dean installs the series standard 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Abalone dots mark the frets. EMG 45P6 humbuckers drive the tone of this six-string beast. Bridge section sports a standard six-saddled hardtail bridge.
