SB4000 is a solid-bodied electric bass made by Carvin, and it comes with a double cutaway body made of alder. Optionally, The top is flat and equipped with a plastic pickguard. Carvin installs top wood covers on this model. In the bridge section, it is Carvin`s own fixed bridge with string-through-body construction. The first option for hardware color is chrome, though black and gold are also available. In the pickups area, SB4000 features a J/J pickup formation made by Carvin. They are controlled through master tone and split volume knobs. Neck on this model is made of alder and it is bolted to the body. Fingerboard options include ebony, maple and others, with ebony being the default one. 20 medium jumbo frets are covered with dot position inlays.
