Eight-string baritone acoustics are sort of a specialty and icing on the cake of Limited Editions in past few years. Baritone is every acoustic or electric guitar with an extended scale. Minimum scale length for a guitar to be considered a baritone is 27 inches. Though 25-1/2" is a standard and 26", and even 26-1/2" can be found, only 27" and above is considered a baritone. This time, it is situated within the Quilted Sapele series and it comes in acoustic-electric variant. Also, an interesting feature is that third and fourth strings are doubled, therefore this baritone has neck contour of a regular six-string. This series is named Quilted Sapele, for each and every model comes with back and side panels made of quilted sapele. This Baritone is no exception and it also has series` standard sound board made of European spruce. Top panel on this model is equipped with ivoroid binding and standard sound hole rosette. Bridge is made of ebony and it features bone saddle with ebony string pins. Electronics installed are made by Taylor, it is Expression System setup. Neck is made of tropical mahogany and it is attached to the body with a regular 14th fret dovetail joint. Ebony fingerboard is equipped with 19 frets, solitaires inlays and 1.75" wide string nut. The MSRP for this model is set at $4,498.
