Taylor`s Quilted Sapele series is situated within the brand new Fall 2012 Limited Edition lineup. It`s main feature is the use of very rare quilted sapele for back and side panels of it`s models. This rare and exclusive wood has great tonal properties and adds a little bit of warmth to already strong low end regular sapele has. Due to outstanding beauty of this tone wood, Taylor has opted to leave all models from this series in natural color scheme with gloss finish. Taylor`s Expression system is installed on all acoustic-electric models of the series. GSce-FLTD is a grand symphony guitar with single cutaway design and acoustic-electric construction. Quilted sapele back and sides are accompanied by solid European spruce sound board. This top panel is equipped with regular Quilted Sapele Series treatment: ivoroid binding, glossy finish and single circle rosette. Bridge section is equipped with a regular belly-shaped ebony bridge with bone saddle and ebony string pins. Neck on this model is made of tropical mahogany and it sports a regular 14th fret dovetail joint. On top of this neck Taylor installs an ebony fingerboard with 20 frets. Solitaires inlays and 1-3/4" wide bone nut complete the fingerboard. Scale is 25-1/2" long and the hardware is plated in gold.
