414ce-N-FLTD is a model from the Blackwood 400 series made by one of America`s premier acoustic guitar manufacturers, Taylor Guitars. This series is a part of this year`s Fall 2012 Limited Edition. Besides this one, 2012 Fall Limiteds issue contains Presentation and Quilted Sapele series. Blackwood 400 is the most affordable of them all and is envisioned as the seasonal alternative to the regular 400 series guitars. 414ce-N-FLTD is a single cut grand auditorium with nylon strings and acoustic-electric construction. Body of this model is made of Tasmanian blackwood back and side panels with western red cedar sound board on the top. Top panel is equipped with rock maple binding and rosette. Pickguard is left out, for Taylor does not install them on their nylon stringers. Bridge section features an ebony bridge with TUSQ saddle. For amplification duties Taylor installs Expression system adjusted for nylon-stringed guitars. Neck on this grand auditorium is made of tropical mahogany, which is Taylor`s favorite neck material. It features 14th fret dovetail joint. Ebony fingerboard has 20 frets, maple dot inlays and 1.875" wide TUSQ nut. Scale is 25-1/2" long and hardware on this guitar is plated in chrome. The MSRP for 414ce-N-FLTD is set at $2,898.
