T50TH Anniversary is 2012 Limited Edition model made in honor of Takamine`s 50 years in business. It features only exclusive options and appointments. Also, it is a top-notch sibling of another anniversary model, the EG50TH Anniversary model. T50TH Anniversary comes as a non-cutaway dreadnought model with a body made of cocobolo back and sides and solid spruce top. The flat top is bound in several layers of binding, while the sound hole features a double circle rosette. As far as color options go, this model only comes in natural gloss finish. The bridge is made of rosewood and equipped with a belly shape, white string pins and a two-piece white saddle. For amplification, Takamine`s finest preamp is utilized, the Takamine Line Driver. Although it does not feature any on-board controls, bass and treble are boosted a little bit. This preamp requires no cuts on the sides of the body, as it is installed inside the body cavity. TLD provides the ultimate amplification Takamine can offer. The fingerboard is made of ebony and equipped with 20 frets with growing vines inlays. These inlays stretch from the headstock, all the way to the bottom of the fingerboard symbolizing the growth and long and hard road Takamine traveled through 50 years in business.
