The models are based on the classic Lyrachord body shape, with C2078 and C2079 designations dominating the roster. Collector`s Series Deep Contour C2079AXP-5S offers the classic Lyrachord experience, but with a central soundhole instead of the multiple offset arrangement Ovation is known for. Main features include composite back (bowl-shaped back), a fast neck attached at 14th fret, Ovation`s own electronics, and modern/vintage styling. Black Satin is the only available color option. Other notable features include a two-piece quilt maple top, a 5-piece mahogany/maple neck, an ebony fingerboard, an ebony bridge, and die-cast tuners.
