Collector`s Series is a line of exclusive acoustic-electric guitars which sporadically appears in Ovation Guitars` catalog. the first appearance was about four decades ago and, since then, the Collector`s Series has been pulled down and reintroduced many times. The current series offers a huge roster, based on the C2078 and C2079 designations, and with the average price around the $1,500 mark. Collector`s Series Deep Contour C2078AXP-KOA is a single-cut six-stringer and one of eleven C2078 models. Its main features include a composite back/sides bowl, a solid spruce top (w/flamed koa veneer), a five-piece mahogany/maple neck (w/14th fret dovetail joint, classic 3+3 headstock), a 22-fret ebony fingerboard (10" radius, 25.25" scale, 1.6875" nut), an ebony bridge, Ovation electronics, and die-cast tuners.
