Ovation`s Collector`s Series is one of those on-and-off affairs, a series which periodically appearas only to disappear again. The current incarnation of the series offers a wide range of acoustic-electrics, mostly based on C2078 and C2079 designations. All featured models are single-cuts based on the classic Lyrachord body shape, with composite backs and wooden tops. Moreover, all models sport the in-house electronics. Collector`s Series Deep Contour C2078AXP-STB is one of eleven available C2078 models. It offers a composite back and solid sapele top w/Tobacco Sunburst paint job (gloss finish, black hardware). Other notable features include a five-piece mahogany/maple neck (14th fret joint, 3+3 classic headstock), a 22-fret ebony fingerboard, a fixed ebony bridge, and die-cast tuners.
