X series offers the most affordable of all Martin guitars, and it`s made up of a huge number of models and variants. DXME is only one of many dreadnoughts in the series and it comes with a non-cutaway variant made of laminated mahogany back and sides with laminated spruce top. The top on this model is equipped with a tortoise shell pickguard and single circle rosette. Bridge is made of black richlite, which is Martin`s option for low cost models. It comes with a belly shape and plastic saddle. Fishman Presys preamp-piezo pickup system is featured on DXME. Neck is made of rust stratabond with oval contour and mortise & tenon joint. Fingerboard is made of black richlite and it comes with a set of 20 frets with side dot markers.
