DCX1E is a cutaway dreadnought acoustic-electric model from the Martin`s X series of models. This line of models is oriented towards the beginners and players who can not afford a Standard or Custom series model. It starts off with a spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides. It is available in natural gloss finish with a tortoise pickguard and no binding. The belly shaped bridge is made of black richlite and has white pins and plastic saddle. The neck is made of rust stratabond with an oval contour and mortise and tenon joint. Black richlite fingerboard has 20 frets, no inlays and 1.6875" corian nut. Fishman Presys Plus preamp with tuner and on-board controls is in charge of amplification. The list price is set at $999.
