For 2013 NAMM in Anaheim Fender launches the acoustic section of the custom shop. This new division starts off with two series, Collector`s Custom and Pro Custom series. Pro Custom series is significantly more affordable than the Collector`s Custom and offers more standard-looking guitars. There are currently four models in the lineup, with more expected in the future. Pro Custom series is made up of two Kingman dreadnoughts, one newporter and one auditorium model. All of them feature solid wood construction and top shelf decorations and hardware. Pro Custom Kingman C Antigua Burst is a single-cut dreadnought with body made of solid mahogany back and sides and solid spruce top. It costs S2,890 and boasts the magnificent Antigua Burst color scheme with high gloss finish. Both the body and neck are bound in aged white. Bridge is made of rosewood and it features one saddle. Electronics on this model are supplied by Fishman and feature the standard set of controls. Neck is made of a single piece of maple and it is equipped with a vintage C contour in the back. On it`s top Fender installs a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Vintage Fender tuners and regular 25-5/8" scale are also featured on this model.
