Fender`s acoustic department is counted as one of the best in business and is also very popular among both the players and manufacturers. Within it`s ranks, Fender makes two divisions, one is for completely acoustic guitars and the other one is for acoustic-electric guitars. Acoustic-electrics are being updated for 2013 with a brand new exclusive line named Collector`s Custom. It contains five models with custom paint jobs made by today`s finest airbrush artists. Melanie Steinway Tribal Ocean Newporter is one of them and it is the second model done by her. It comes with a fully hollow body made of solid mahogany back and sides with Engelmann spruce sound board on top. Body is bound in aged white binding and finished in gloss. Custom Tribal Ocean paint job is the only color option available for this model. Bridge section is equipped with a rosewood bridge with bone saddle. Electronics section features Fishman`s Matrix Infinity pickup system. Neck on this model is made of maple and it features the standard C contour in the back. On it`s top Fender installs a standard 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Vintage tuners and 25-5/8" scale complete the specs list.
