RU-998 Recording King Metal Body Resonator Ukulele is quite a rare beast, one of very few in existence. It is two instruments in one, a ukulele-sized resonator guitar and a resonator-shaped ukulele. Also, it is one of two Specialty Resonator series models (the other one`s a cross between a metal resonator and an A-style mandolin). RU-998 comes in with a minute uke-sized body made of nickel-plated bell brass, aluminum cone (hand-spun cone w/Diamond coverplate), standard ukulele scale, and vintage styling. Other notable features include a mahogany-made neck (rounded profile, 13th fret dovetail neck joint, satin finish), 20-fret padauk fingerboard (white binding, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, 1-3/8" nut), hard maple bridge, and Champion-style friction tuners.
