Gibson Les Paul Jr

The story of the Jr began in 1954 at the Kalamazoo factory when the first Les Paul Jr rolled off the production line. Through years and incarnations, this model never lost it`s appeal and never compromised on quality. Today`s new Gibson Les Paul Jr delivers all of the characteristics legends before it had, timelessly young looks, basic features, great tone and high quality craftsmanship. Although named Jr and placed at the entry level at Gibson catalog, this is still a true Les Paul. Mahogany body, set neck and a single P-90 pickup in the bridge make sure this guitar`s tone and playability are not inferior to any Les Paul. Chrome hardware, obeche fingerboard, modern color finish and pickguard complement the youthful looks of this guitar.

Gibson Les Paul Jr comes with a solid flat top mahogany body. Jr doesn`t have a top wood like it`s older and bigger brothers. The bridge is a lightning bar, something of a tune-o-matic and a stoptail bar in one single piece of hardware. It is as reliable as the legendary tune-o-matic and can keep up with any music and playing style. P-90 is the name of the pickup chosen for this guitar. It delivers dirty, snarly tone with just enough polish to cover a wide stretch from mean street blues and garage rock to punk and hard rock. It is the same type of pickup used on the original Jr back in the day, and is still a force to be reckoned with in the 21st century. Volume and tone knob comprise the controls department.

Neck on Gibson Les Paul Jr is made of mahogany and is quarter sawn and glued in via mortise and tenon joint. Slim taper profile brings the vintage shape and feel with it.
