Gibson Represents Midtown Custom, Les Paul Classic Plus and Nighthawk Studio

Three new models are unveiled at Gibson Guitars. Vintage Midtown Custom, beautiful Les Paul Classic Plus and modern Nighthawk Studio.

Midtown Custom

Based on Gibson`s legendary ES models, the Midtown Custom takes after their smooth lines but in a bit smaller, player-friendly size with the addition of the features of a Custom class. Midtown Custom has advanced semi-hollow construction with chambered solid body and solid top instead of laminated top and and back with solid center.

Midtown Custom kicks off with a vintage double cutaway shape bound in white binding and sealed with glossy lacquer. It is a solid mahogany body with chambers in it which allow for more natural flow of the sound through the body thus resulting in an enhanced tonal quality. Top of the body is adorned with stylish "f" holes reminiscing the ES models of the past. Tune-o-matic bridge is paired with a stoptail bar, a classic Gibson feature with decades of supreme tuning stability and solid sustain under the belt. This vintage styled beauty features Burstbucker 2 in the bridge and Burstbucker 1 in the neck position, both equipped with Alnico II magnets for that strong, fat and rich tone Gibsons have been known for the past five decades. The pickups are controlled through separate volume and tone knobs and a three way toggle switch.

Neck on Midtown Custom is made of mahogany and has '60s Slim Taper profile for maximum comfort and great feel. Neck is attached to the body via the Mortise and Tenon joint. Richlite fingerboard features 22 frets with white acrylic block inlays. Other features include: white binding, 12" fingerboard radius, 1.695" nut width, 24-3/4" scale, Corian nut, Grover Kidney Bean tuners, chrome hardware and nitrocellulose gloss finish. It is available in: Vintage Sunburst, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Ebony and Antique Natural. MSRP for this model is set at $2,299.

Gibson Midnight Custom Vintage Sunburst

Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus

This guitar pays tribute to the Les Paul Standards of the past with it`s figured maple top, open coil pickups, top shelf body and neck wood, splendid glossy burst color options and standard controls configuration. For the further enhancement of looks, the pickguard has been omitted to show off Les Paul`s beautiful paint and glossy finish. Les Paul Classic Plus is the guitar that brings ultimate tone and looks in one, an instrument in it`s own league.

Legendary shape of the single cutaway Les Paul is made of top shelf flamed maple top cap and chambered body made of the finest mahogany. It is bound in white and has a carved top, features which only accentuate the beauty of the LP`s curves and the bookmatched two-pieced flamed maple top. Chrome plated tune-o-matic bridge is paired with a stoptail bar and provides the unmatched tuning stability. Pickups on this model are uncovered for the aesthetic effect, but are every bit strong and durable as the covered ones, the LPs are known for. Ceramic 496R is placed in the neck position and the ceramic 500T in bridge position. These pickups give the Les Paul Classic Plus it`s wild and ferocious side. The neck pickup sports warm, rich and clear tones, while the bridge pickup packs a heavy punch with volcanic hot lead tones and endless sustain. These pickups are harnessed and controlled through separate volume and tone knobs and a three-way toggle switch, a classic Les Paul feature.

Neck on Les Paul Classic Plus is made of mahogany and joined with body via the Mortise and Tenon joint. The player has a choice regarding the neck profile with '50s rounded contour and '60s Slim Taper profile. The style of playing and the personal preference of either vintage feeling chunky or modern slim necks should be the guide for this choice. The fingerboard placed upon both necks is made of gorgeous baked maple and features 22 frets with figured acrylic trapezoid inlays. Other features on Les Paul Classic Plus include: nickel and chrome plated hardware, Corian nut, cream binding for the body and the neck, 12" fingerboard radius, glossy nitrocellulose finish, classic LP 24-3/4" scale, 1.695" nut width and vintage styled TonePros tuners with Keystone buttons. It is available in four stunning color options: Manhattan Midnight, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Trans Ebony Sunburst and Vintage Sunburst. MSRP is set at $2,999.

Beautiful beyond the words, this guitar also brings the matching tone and playability with it. This one is sure to be pride and joy of it`s owner, a pupil of his/her eye. Check Les Paul Classic Plus at our detail page or at Gibson Guitars official web page.
