The course of events lead to the collaboration between Epiphone and Mr. Flynn, and the result is more than impressive, the Epiphone Robb Flynn Love/Death Baritone Flying V. It is the embodiment of Machine Head`s take no prisoners style and Epiphone`s advanced technology and craftsmanship quality. Baritone scale of 27 inches and EMG active humbuckers give this down-tuned behemoth a hellish roar. That combined with outstanding graphic work on the guitar`s body top and fingerboard inlays makes this guitar a weapon of mass destruction.
Robb Flynn Love/Death Baritone Flying V starts off with a solid mahogany body with black color and gloss finished custom graphic on the flat top. The bridge on this guitar is a standard combo of tune-o-matic bridge and a stoptail bar with nickel coating. This bridge combined with 27" scale and drop B tuning gives absolute stability and deep, distinctive lows for mad riffing in the style of Machine Head`s anthems. EMG 81 pickup is placed at the bridge and EMG-HA at the neck position. These two hellraisers offer unbelievable amount of sustain and strength. The controls are represented by a master volume knob and a three way toggle switch.
Neck on Robb Flynn Love/Death Baritone Flying V is made of mahogany and has a slim taper contour with a mortise and tenon glued in joint. The ebony fingerboard features 24 medium jumbo frets and 1.68" wide graphite nut. The fingerboard radius measures 14" and the scale is 27" long. Other features include: Grover locking tuners, nickel plated hardware and polyurethane finish. The MSRP for this model is set at $1,498.
