Learn to Play E 9 Guitar Chord

Follow these instructions to learn how to play E 9 chord with fingering:

Starting from the low E string (the thickest string) you should place your fingers like this (this is called fingering):

- E string: Play this string open
- A string: Press 2nd fret with your middle finger
- D string: Press 2nd fret with your middle finger
- G string: Press 1st fret with your index finger
- B string: Press 3rd fret with your pinky finger
- E string: Press 2nd fret with your ring finger

Now strum the strings one by one and make sure that every tone rings clearly.

Tip: Pick Your Guitar Pick

Floyd RosePlastic or nylon picks sound "clicky" and brittle, tortex picks sound darker. People tend to like thicker or medium picks for their better tone definition and better dynamics control. If you play metal music get yourself a thicker pick!

Various guitar picks are available online, buy a bulk and you're set for a year.
