Thrash metal legend, Gary Holt is a man who needs no introduction among the guitar nuts, as he is the mastermind behind some of the most evil and brutal riffs and leads in history of metal and Exodus. For some years now, Gary has been a part of what has proven to be one of the most awesome signature artist lineups in history, Schecter`s Signature Artist lineup. For 2014, Schecter and Gary are revamping the classic V-1. It now comes with a brand new color scheme and improved features and appointments. Solid V body is made of mahogany and is available only in Blood Splatter color scheme. Gloss finish, red binding and black hardware complete the picture. Original Floyd Rose bridge is installed on the top. It has six saddles, black plating and supreme command over intonation and tuning. EMG`s 81 and 89R are installed in the bridge and neck position. 89R replaces the classic 85, for 85 can not be split into a single coil. Volume knob is stacked with a push/pull switch and accompanied with a three-way toggle switch. Mahogany neck is made of three pieces of wood and is fit with the classic C contour. this short-scaled V (24-3/4" scale) is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with a custom 12th fret inlay and 1.625" wide locking nut. Grover tuners are installed on the headstock. MSRP for Gary Holt V-1 FR is set at $1.499.
