Dave Murray is Stratocaster`s champion among the heavy metal knights. Yes, many of them ride mighty Superstrats bred in various stables across the world, but Dave Murray stays true to the original. For 2015, the captain of the Iron Cavalry gets a new signature Fender. Once again, it is a 21-fret Stratocaster guitar with Floyd Rose bridge and passive electronics. Appearance-wise, it is a dead ringer of Dave`s on-stage favorite of many years. It comes in the distinct 2-Color Sunburst with gloss polyurethane finish and chrome-plated hardware. Thus far, there are no other color options available. Beneath the beautiful sunburst paint and sparkly pickuguard, Fender employs an alder body (solid, flat classic Strat body) made of two pieces of top grade wood. On the top, the mentioned Floyd Rose bridge makes sure this hard rocking Strat stays immaculately in tune. In its front, there`s a trio of stacked humbuckers. Bridge and neck positions are fit with Seymour Duncan Hot Rails for Strat (SHR-1 model), while the middle position features a JB Jr SJBJ-1N (also a Seymour Duncan stacked humbucker). Two volume knobs and a master tone comprise the classic three-piece set of potentiometers. Five-position blade switch completes the controls. Bolted maple neck is fit with a standard C profile in the back and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Medium jumbo frets, 1.6875" wide locking string nut, regular dot inlays and compound 9.5"-14" radius are featured on the fingerboard. Classic Strat headstock is fit with a set of six in-line sealed tuning machines.

excellent sound, very comfortable to play, very good quality materials, factory settings left to be desired, but it is something that can not be solved as the action of the strings and the height of the pickups
