Jazzmaster made its debut back in 1958, though it gained its popularity with 1960s wave of surf rockers. It has been and still is one of the most iconic electric guitars ever made. Fender`s 2018 NAMM lineup features one new Jazzmaster - American Original `60s Jazzmaster. The new model belongs to the six-string part of the American Original range (a completely new range for 2018) and is available in three classic color options - Ocean Turquoise, Olympic White, and 3-Color Sunburst. Main construction features include a solid and flat alder body (w/tortoise pickguard on top), a maple neck (`60s C profile, gloss finish, bolt-on joint), a rosewood fingerboard (bone nut, 25.5" scale, 9.5" radius, vintage tall frets), vintage floating tremolo bridge, Pure Vintage `65 pickups, and vintage-styled Fender tuners.
