Baby series in Dean Guitars catalog is dealing with the short-scale variants of Dean`s most popular classics: ML, V and Z. These models come with smaller bodies, narrower fret spacing and overall smaller size, for they are made primarily for children. Dean also adjusted the color palette to kids. Baby Z comes with a smaller variant of the classic Z model and it`s made of basswood. Basswood body and maple neck are standard features of this series, ensuring a versatile tone and decent sustain. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it features V contour in the back. Pickups installed on this Z are Dean`s own passive humbuckers. They come in H/H configuration and feature master volume, master tone and three-way toggle switch. Bridge section features a tune-o-matic bridge.
